This sling is made from a double layer of a material called silk flocking (the sling shown above is a single layer). The fabric itself is 100% silk, much like silk dupioni, with a velvet pattern printed on. The color is beautiful and it is truly a striking garment. In addition to being beautiful it is practical; silk is versatile and very comfortable, it absorbs moisture, it is cool to wear in the summer yet warm to wear in winter, it retains its shape and is relatively smooth, very lustrous and it is the strongest natural fiber. The sling is 5 times reinforced for strength.
